SHARKS and Fishes

SHARKS and FISHES

Big drill tune from the rising Irish rapper Youngiz with a feature from the scene frontrunner Elzzz. Out now on TGE and Gliders.

Youngiz plays District’s party in The Graad Social this Friday.

5.

Lord Ormond

Saint Laurent

An unexpected pitched-down nocturnal groove from the Dublin-based artist Paddy Ormond for the Lord Ormond project.

‘Saint Laurent’ is a narrative song in which the protagonist drunkenly stumbles into a late night VIP party, only to be glamoured by the very fashionable man at the soirée.

The track is inspired by noted fashionista Rick Owens and Chicago House more generally.

Paddy Ormond was previously of The Claque, Jetsetter and you may have seen him playing with Morgana, Kean Kavanagh or Banríon.

The B-side ‘I Still Carry It With Me’ is a woozy explosive take on Jai Paul-esque pop music about “getting off your arse and putting out music before it rots into the abyss with the rest of your dreams.”

Amen.

6.

brawni

La Plagne

The Limerick producer brawni has form in creating bass-heavy lightly-arranged electronic bangers, and his latest ‘La Plagne’ is no different, and it’s fizzy repetitive production is ripe for some summer sizzling.
