One of the most powerful voices in Ireland, RnB and soul star Toshín is taking her Aretha Franklin show on tour around the country to pay tribute to one of her heroes.
Toshín goes on tour this week with her Toshín as Aretha Franklin show heading to six cities and towns around Ireland. The show is built on her respect for Aretha Franklin and her love for the late soul icon.
The singer says that she was always inspired by the Queen of Soul, taking elements of her performance in her own, however, it was when the film Respect was released that she realised now was the time to pay tribute to Aretha.
“I know I’m only going around Ireland but it feels like I’m doing a world tour in my head but I’m planning on speaking to as many people and fans cause yes it’s about sharing music and performing but it’s also about connecting with new faces and making long term friendships.”
