Viral DJ Fish56octagon is playing a Dublin show

The dressing gown DJ sensation went viral for sharing his love of dance music classics.

The sudden success of his Instagram and TikTok video conference was accelerated by a young audience who are keen to discover rave underground classics in a friendly accessible manner, a contrast to an industry that can often platform snobbishness about track IDs over inclusivity.

The 44-year-old English marketing professional turned club DJ and music enthusiast played at Glastonbury this summer, and a sold out UK tour, and is constantly posting about dance music of all stripes – UK garage, rave, house, trance and techno among them.

So no surprise then, that Fish56octagon is to play Index’s Autumn season, as the Dublin promoters roll out the list of acts playing across the next few months.

Fish56Octagon plays Index on Saturday September 14th with support from Cork DJ Tara Casey. Tickets are on sale tomorrow morning, Wednesday August 21st at 10am from Dice.FM priced from €22.66 plus fees.

Index have also announced Dixon, Chase & Status, Floorplan Mark Blair, Duke Dumont and Le Boom for the coming months, along with stipulating that guestlisters will pay €10 per ticket to three charities voted for by attendees.
