Win tickets to Cerys Matthews’ event at Liberty Hall about music and food next Tuesday
BBC 6 Music radio presenter and former Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews will be in Dublin next week, September 24th at Liberty Hall in Dublin for an event centered around her new Penguin book Where the Wild Cooks Go exploring her love of food.
Goes the blurb:
With a childhood spent foraging and learning to make flapjacks and nettle soup, followed by a life of touring as a musician around the world and delighting in the delicious local delicacies discovered along the way, a love for food and cooking has always been central to Cerys Matthews’ life.
Cerys will be sharing the flavours, ingredients, cocktails and tunes that have inspired her over a lifetime of cooking and travelling. She will indulge us with some poetry readings and a sprinkling of singing, playing a few of her favourite songs from the countries that she has visited.
Cerys Matthews will be signing books after the event.
“Wherever I’ve travelled, home or away, I’ve collected music and recipes. I try to go where the locals eat and drink, and taste the regional dishes and brew, often ending up singing the same songs. Great food, music and company inextricably linked. I get to share my music collection every week as DJ on BBC Radio 2 and 6, and it feels natural, now, to share the recipes.”
