Bypassing normal channels of distribution, Yeasayer perhaps knew their new material would inevitably end up online so they posted physical copies of their new song ‘Henrietta’ to 200 mailing list members and waited. Will at We All Want Someone was one of the bloggers who made it available to the world and now there’s a ful download available.
‘Henrietta’ continues on from the band’s Odd Blood era with tight pop production informed by spacious bass notes, refracted synths and uplifting vocals. It bodes well for album 3.
Update: Album 3 is called Fragrant World and is out in August.
