Andrew WK, Tom Robinson and more for Output music conference and showcase for Belfast in October
On Thursday October 16th next month, the inaugural Creative Belfast presents Output one day music conference takes place in Belfast in the MAC and the Oh Yeah Centre.
350 artists, businesses and creative students are expected with the focus on the opportunities and challenges in the music industry today.
The morning and afternoon will feature panel discussions, music sessions, workshop, speed networking events and keynote speeches. Speakers include Andrew WK, Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music), Andrea Madden (music supervisor on Made in Chelsea), Nialler9 (ahem), Janet Devlin (The X Factor), Aidan O’Rourke (BBC Young Folk Musician Of The Year) Peter Gregson (composer and cellist) while representatives of PRS, Polar Patrol Publishing, Sentric Music, PPL, MCPS, IMRO, Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape, MCD Promotions, Body and Soul, Norwich Sound and Vision, Go North, SESAC, Raygun, The Thin Air and Wicksteed Works, Independence Festival and Facebook are expected.
In the evening in the Cathedral Quarter, there’ll be some free music showcases put together by Third Bar Artist Development, Friday Night Mash-up, Smalltown America Music, Old Fang, PRS, Broken Melody Records and Sentric. Nialler9 and The Thin Air will host one such gig. More details on that lineup in the coming week or so.
Entry is free to all events but you should register for Output at creativebelfast.info.
