The rock musician and poet legend that is Patti Smith is set to play two Dublin shows next summer.

Smith plays two shows at Vicar Street with her band, the Patti Smith Quartet on Thursday 27th & Friday 28th June 2024, as presented by Foggy Notions.

Presale is now active on the promoter’s mailing list, with general tickets on sale Friday December at 10am.


About Patti Smith:

Patti Smith is an American singer, songwriter, poet, and visual artist, born on December 30, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. She is often referred to as the “punk poet laureate” and is a highly influential figure in the punk rock and alternative music scenes. Patti Smith emerged in the 1970s and played a significant role in the development of punk rock music.

Her debut album Horses released in 1975, is considered a landmark in the history of punk rock. The album features a blend of rock, punk, and spoken word poetry and includes iconic tracks like ‘Gloria’ and ‘Land of a Thousand Dances’ .

Apart from her music career, Patti Smith is also an accomplished poet and writer. Her memoir Just Kids won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 2010. Throughout her career, Patti Smith has been an influential and versatile artist, contributing to the worlds of music, literature, and visual arts.
