The London-based Limerick-born ban Whenyoung are back as a duo of Aoife Power and Andrew Flood.
Having established themselves as fine purveyors of indie with punk leanings, the duo are debuting a new kind of sound for the project with ‘A Little Piece Of Heaven’, the band’s first song since the COVID-era ballad ‘The Prayer’.
The track has spoken word, big ringing chords and treated drums.
“A Little Piece Of Heaven is a contemplation on the boldness and hurry of childhood. The naive expectations of adult life I had as a child have petered out along the course of growing up and I’ve learned that it’s the little things, like happy memories with family, that are the most important.”
