No Ceremony – ‘Hurtlove’

‘HurtLove’ is a modern proposition for a song. It might be built on reverberating piano chords but its twisted whirling vocals and creeping distortion add a zeitgeist spin on the overall effect. It’s post-dubstep in the vein of James Blake in that it’s airy and awkward and like Blake, it conjures up a strange and unique atmosphere that is edifying and repeatable.

It’s from Manchester’s No Ceremony and is released on a 10″ vinyl on February 20th backed with the similar ‘WeAreMe along with ‘Deliverus’.Grab the download below and listen to the other tracks. Order the vinyl here.
