Soda Blonde’s new music video is for ‘Why Die For Danzig and was directed by the band’s own Adam O’Regan and “challenges viewers to reconsider the intricate web of Western involvement in warfare.”
The track is from the band’s 2023 album Dream Big, and is on a fitting theme in the wake of the Irish band being one of the artist’s who cancelled their appearance at SXSW in protest at the festival’s military sponsorship.
“In our latest music video for ‘Why Die For Danzig,’ we challenge viewers to consider where Western involvement in warfare starts and ends. The video uses the setting of a commercial photoshoot to introduce a narrative that slowly unveils deeper and darker implications.”
