Cillian Waters is the latest newest name in Irish electronica to impress me. Cillo’s ‘When You Want Me’ is centred around the pitched-down treat vocal sample of the title paired with some post-dubstep synths with nods to garage in the unique rippling beats. It’s the latest track from the Dublin producer who has recently turned in impressive atmospheric beat-driven remixes of Of Monsters & Men, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and One Sixth Of Tommy. Beyond that most recent activity, there are lots more remixes and tracks at Soundcloud from the past couple of years with the common theme of Waters’ piano-playing throughout whether twisted or present unadorned. Two original tracks ‘Breathe’ (below) and ‘Raindrops’ are now on Beatport.

One Sixth Of Tommy – It’s Alright (Cillo Remix)
Of Monsters And Men – Yellow Light (Cillo Remix)
Benjamin Francis Leftwich – Butterfly Culture (Cillo Remix)

Great “Yellow Light” remix!! I can’t get enough of these guys, so remixed songs help break up their album I have on repeat haha Also, I just came across a remixed version of Asaf Avidan’s “Reckoning Song” that was recently done by DJ Wankelmut…definitely recommend checking it out if you’re a fan of OMAM 🙂 http://bit.ly/SwgJYF
