One of the final chances to see this show – Sigur Rós are coming to Ireland in September for the closing leg of their world tour, performing alongside the Ulster Orchestra with conductor Robert Ames.

The tour has been running since 2023 and sees the band – reunited with keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson since 2022 – performing alongside full orchestras in major concert halls worldwide, having already played the Royal Albert Hall, Rome’s Sala Santa Cecilia and Vienna’s Konzerthaus among others. The setlists draw on ÁTTA, their first album of new material in nearly a decade, alongside the wider catalogue.
These Irish dates are among the last on the tour, making them the final opportunity to see this particular configuration of the show.
In recent years, released Odin’s Raven Magic (2020), an orchestral album originally made nearly two decades prior, and later reissued ( ) for its 20th anniversary in 2022. Their first collection of new material in nearly a decade, ÁTTA (2023) leans heavily towards the orchestral, featuring contributions from the London Contemporary Orchestra. Last September the band released a special 20th anniversary edition of their acclaimed album Takk… – their major label debut and a commercial breakthrough for a band that has never sought the mainstream.
