A new trailer has dropped for Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, the documentary charting Liam and Noel Gallagher’s Live ’25 reunion tour, ahead of the film’s September 11th release.
The trailer opens inside an empty rehearsal studio as the band members start arriving, intercut with news audio about the brothers’ long-running feud. “The way it finished – unacceptable,” Liam says in the opening moments. “It didn’t sit right with me, man.” Noel follows: “I just don’t see myself on stage with Liam. I don’t really want to be going back with the tension. Will it fall apart again?”
The film is produced by Steven Knight – Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows – and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the pair behind Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom. It includes rehearsal, backstage and onstage footage as well as the first joint interview Liam and Noel have given in over 25 years.
The documentary follows the band’s hugely successful comeback tour, which included two nights at Croke Park in Dublin last August.
The film will have its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival in September, with both brothers confirmed to attend. It opens in select IMAX and cinemas on September 9th before a wider release on September 11th, and will stream on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the US later this year.
