Gabriel Paschal Blake of The Murder Capital will play The Workman’s Club in Dublin on Sunday November 22nd.
The Letterkenny-born songwriter’s solo songs deal with grief and the absurdity of the life it creates, and what it’s like to carry on afterwards. His lyrics are dark and confessional, set over chirping guitars, euphoric melodies and haunting harmonies, and the music moves between folky intimacy and cinematic arrangements.
We covered his solo debut single when it arrived: ‘Everythin’ About You’, with its video starring Bronagh Gallagher. The video was self-directed, and its story was inspired by real events.
