Ailbhe Reddy releases surprise 5-track EP – Attach To Memory
The Dublin singer-songwriter Ailbhe Reddy is currently excelling at this music thing. Building on last yer’s debut EP Hollowed Out Sea and January’s once-off single ‘Relent’, Reddy has released a new EP which gets a first listen through Nialler9 today.
Attach To Memory features four tracks (and one edit) of recent songs recorded in a form that closely mirrors her full live-band live setup. From the taut indie-folk style of ‘Fingertips’ to the catchy highlight of ‘Disconnect’ and the slow expressive ‘Never Loved’, Reddy’s voice remains the magnetic force at the centre of her craft.
The EP is released through AWAL/Kobalt on 24th May and Reddy is very busy on the live front including The Great Escape, Body&Soul and two Nialler9-related shows at Music Cork on May 11th and Thursday May 25th at Dublin’s Bello Bar at Future Sounds #3 with Soulé and Le Boom (tickets on sale for that later today).
