Arts4All campaign hosting a Zoom meeting this afternoon about Irish musician issues during COVID-19
Arts4All is a campaign from People Before Profit featuring a working group of artists and arts workers who are calling for the Pandemic Unemployment Payment to be extended for those severely affected beyond August 10th.
It’s the same recommendations that a number of representative bodies made in the special committee to the Oireachtas recently which featured members of the Event Industry Association of Ireland (EIAI), National Campaign for the Arts (C4A) and Event Production Industry Covid-19 Working Group (EPIC).
Arts4All are hosting a ZOOM today at 5:30pm about possible actions. Their message is below:

Arts4All are pushing to form a cross organisational group to decide on actions we should take as part of the current issues facing all musicians – with a focus on this Tuesday to discuss possible actions and other groups that are directly affected.
We are calling for artists, art workers and representative groups to come together – along with taxi drivers and other workers whose sectors have been absolutely devastated and are unlikely to pick up in the near future – to demand that the full PUP be reinstated as a wage subsidy at least until the affected sectors are back on their feet. As a subsidy, it means that we can begin to earn again without fear of losing what little support we have.
To prepare for this, we are holding an online Zoom meeting tomorrow, Tuesday July 14th at 5.30pm. and would welcome any representation that you, or anyone from your group, would like to make.
