For its 11th edition, AVA Festival welcomes Underworld as festival headliners. The iconic electronic duo, is synonymous with UK rave culture and responsible for the timeless anthem ‘Born Slippy’ which celebrates 30 years this summer. After the release of their new album Strawberry Hotel Underworld are primed to ignite Belfast with their legendary live energy and rave roots.

Overmono, the British brothers redefining late-night rave sonics also top the bill. Known for their masterful blend of techno, breakbeats, and enchanting atmospheres, the duo return to Belfast to deliver a huge headline performance. From their early days as solo producers Tessela and Truss to becoming global favourites, their boundary-pushing sounds are perfectly placed at AVA 2025.
Ewan McVicar, the Scottish house and techno powerhouse who shot to fame with the chart-smashing ‘Tell Me Something Good’, will bring his infectious energy to light up AVA.

VTSS will make her AVA debut for a pulsating techno masterclass. KI/KI returns to transport the crowd with her seamless fusion of acid, trance, and techno, blending futurism with nostalgia.

Italian duo 999999999 will push bpms to the limit with their blend of industrial techno, while Irish tastemaker Tommy Holohan and rising star DART bring bone-rattling beats that showcase Ireland’s thriving rave scene. Sam Alfred also returns with his groovy, euphoric beats after a standout Boiler Room set last year. Berghain regular Bashkka joins with a record box brimming with house and tribal gems, while Spray promises a mind-bending live session presenting his Spriitzz project live, blending wigged-out prog with floor-filling grooves.

AVA also welcomes a unique debut from Tokyo’s Minna-no-kimochi (みんなのきもち), a post-trance collective known for their unforgettable Boiler Room sets.

“AVA 2025 will be a step change for the Festival and AVA. Creativity and community have never been more important. Spaces for people to freely dance, connect and express themselves without judgement are crucial, and we plan to bring the best environment for artists and audiences alike.”

Sarah McBriar, Founder & Creative Director of AVA

“This year we are excited to bring iconic duo Underworld to AVA on the 30th Anniversary of Born Slippy and surround them with so much exciting and upcoming talent, featuring 10 artists making their Belfast debuts. Supporting Irish talent has always been a key focus for us, so having artists like Tommy Holohan, Sally C, Spray, EMA, Sloucho, and Kessler involved in the lineup is something we are proud of.”

Emmett Costello, AVA Senior Curator

AVA’s 2025 lineup is a nod to its heritage as a pioneering electronic music event while supporting a new generation of breakthrough names and looking towards the next chapter & future of the festival. In addition to the music programme, AVA will bring an arts-focused programme that delivers storytelling, music tours of the city, installations, and workshops at the festival. The details of the arts programme will be shared in the coming months.
