The Galway band return to mark two years since their sold-out Madra shows, as part of Button Factory’s 30th anniversary programme.
NewDad are returning to Button Factory for a one-off anniversary show on Monday December 21st, part of the venue’s ongoing BF30 celebrations.
The band played two sold-out nights at the venue in February 2024 celebrating debut album Madra, and have barely stopped touring since, playing Glastonbury and Coachella and sharing stages with Fontaines D.C., Slowdive and David Byrne.
Madra was recorded at Rockfield Studios and mixed by Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Beach House), released to widespread acclaim in 2024 and establishing the band as a major force in Irish alternative music. Second album Altar followed in 2025, continuing their evolution and cementing their reputation as an ambitious, internationally touring act with a rapidly growing audience.
Earlier this year, they left their major label and shared a new song ‘Kick the Curb’ with Sign Crushes Motorist.

It follows the venue’s first round of BF30 announcements last month, with Max Cooper (Saturday September 26th) and Overhead, The Albatross (Thursday September 24th),
