The all-female trad supergroup play the Dublin venue on Tuesday 1 December 2026, with tickets on sale next Wednesday.
BIIRD have announced a headline show at The National Concert Hall in Dublin on Tuesday 1 December 2026, promoted by Aiken Promotions.
BIIRD are 11-piece all-female Irish traditional music collective founded in 2024 by Lisa Canny – a seven-time All-Ireland champion on harp and banjo – BIIRD have made a remarkable amount of ground in a short time. Their stated mission is to change the perception of trad worldwide, and they’re doing it with scale, style and genuine musicianship. Trafalgar Square on St Patrick’s Day 2024, Galway International Arts Festival, All Together Now, and notorious support slots on Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour across New Zealand, Australia and North America – the trajectory is steep.
They’ve already sold out Vicar Street so this is a natural next step.
BIIRD are Lisa (harp, banjo, vocals), Laura Doherty (fiddle, guitar), Zoran Donohoe (concertina), Sal Heneghan (fiddle, harp), Miadhachlughain O’Donnell (flute, vocals), Nicole Lonergan (fiddle), Niamh Hinchy (vocals, synth), Aoife Kelly (cello), Ciara Ní Mhurchú (fiddle), Hannah Hiemstra (drums) and Claire Loughran (fiddle, harp). Lisa and Niamh are also the duo Absolute Lilt, who recently announced their debut EP on Heavenly.
