Cadence Weapon / Final Fantasy Collab

Cadence Fantasy

Out of a CBC Radio Live session collaboration between Owen Pallet aka Final Fantasy and rapper Cadence Weapon comes this intriguing bunch of MP3s. Pallet pairs his violin with Cadence Weapon’s sharp rhyme style to beautiful effect while Cadence embellishes Final Fantasy originals with slight electro touches.

Shane from the Torture Garden posted these songs back in April but I completely missed them somehow. Glad to finally make their acquaintance. I should also remind you that Cadence Weapon’s Breaking Kayfabe is one of the best hip hop albums of the year and a little birdie told me Final Fantasy will be back in December for an early Christmas present 😉

  1. Best… Post… Ever…

Too much? Ok, a really very good one anyway. That version of Paris 1919 is mesmeric and has been on constant rotation for about fifteen minutes or so. Cheers dude! (And Shane!)
