castlepalooza Castlepalooza has announced the lineup for their fifth year running and it looks like their best yet. The festival takes place on July 31st and August 1st in Charleville Castle in Tullamore.

Good on them for booking Lonelady, Wave Machines, Mercury Rev, The Cast of Cheers, Adebisi Shank and Yes Cadets to name but a few.


The lineup includes:
Mercury Rev, Fionn Regan, Wave Machines, Taylor McFerrin, CODES, Cashier No. 9, Lonelady, Adebisi Shank, Tu-ki, James Vincent McMorrow, O Emperor, Robotnik, Alessi’s Ark, Colm Lynch, Funeral Suits, The Cast of Cheers, The Lowly Knights, Readers Wives, Samantha Marais, Attention Bebe, Funzo, The Blue Choir, Sarsparilla, DJ Steve Reddy, DJ Scope, Yes Cadets, Daithi O’Dronaí, Big Dish Go, Sounds of System Breakdown, Nakatomi Towers ( I heard recently they broke up?), Heroes In Hiding, Neptune City, Mercy the Sexton.

Capacity is 3,000 and tickets are available priced at €99 (including service charge) from castlepalooza.com and usual outlets.

  1. €99? Capacity 3000? Please no. The best thing about the weekend is when there are only 1000 or so people there but I suppose the organisers are pushing the boat out with the line-up this year. It’s an all-right line up…a mini HWCH kinda. It is good to see Adebisi, Cast of Cheers, Funeral Suits, Sarsparilla, SoSB there…it’ll be good fun for those who go.
