Songs to Beat the Blues charity album seeking bands & artists for compilation
Songs to Beat the Blues is the latest compilation release from students in the Sound Training Productions in Dublin.
Every year, STP put together a charity compilation for a good cause with previous albums including Growing Home (Peter McVerry Trust), Silver Lining (Headstrong) and My Lovely EP
(My Lovely Horse Rescue). €250,000 has been raised to date.
This year’s charity is AWARE and the album is planning to be “an album of uplifting songs that help to banish the darkness and let in the light, as chosen by the artists themselves.”
As part of that, they put out a call asking for young and upcoming artists to come in and record their favourite songs that give them a lift when they feel down.
Chosen artists will be given a chance to record, mix and master professionally in a Sun Studio with the producers Peter Meighan and Fergal Davis.
If you would like to get involved in this worthy cause, then please email [email protected] to register your interest. Please include links to your music within the email. Please note that bands must be available to record for at least one full day between late February and early March.
