Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson has announced her biggest show to date and a new single ‘Running/Planning’
EURO-COUNTRY, the follow up to Crazymad, For Me (2023) and If My Wife New I’d Be Dead (2022) will be released on August 29th via AWAL Recordings.
A CMAT 13-date UK and Ireland tour
New tour dates for this year are headline shows on a 13-date UK and Ireland tour including at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and CMAT’s biggest show yet at 12,000 capacity 3Arena in Dublin on December 5th 2025.
‘Running/Planning’ single
A new single called ‘Running/Planning’ just dropped along with a video by Eilis Doherty featuring Peter Coonan (Love/Hate) and Maeve O’Mahony. The video drop at 7pm.
“Running/Planning’ is about having to chase your own tail to be good enough to exist. It’s an abstracted view of societal pressure on women – specifically through a relationship lens: You start dating someone, you get engaged, you get married, you have kids etc etc etc… everything has to follow this linear pattern. (That’s the reason for the repetitive chorus!). And the minute you don’t follow that path, your mam starts giving out to you. That narrow path that everyone is supposed to be on… the minute you get outside of that, it gets incredibly stressful. And I don’t know anyone who is like, ‘Yeah, love this!”

EURO-COUNTRY album
EURO-COUNTRY was recorded in New York and co-produced by long-time collaborator Oli Deakin and CMAT. It tackles “themes of grief, “the impact of economics on a small country, the attention that comes with increased fame (not all of it good) and being a woman.”
