We Cut Corners played some songs from their second album a couple of weeks ago in the Workman’s Club in Dublin and evident from that set is a band who are growing on the significant promise of their debut album.
This week, they’ve announced that Think Nothing is the title of the new one, out on Delphi in April and they put out ‘Every Thief’ to mark the occasion.
When not howling and bashing instruments at a supercharged pace, Conall and John really can excel at softer, slower tempos. ‘Every Thief’ is a gorgeous example of that. “Every thief needs an alibi, I’ll be yours, will you be mine?,” sings Conall on a very affecting song.
