Intro: Sudan Archives brings violin, R&B, West African rhythms and electronica together on Stones Throw
Sudan Archives is a 23 year-old self-taught violinist, vocalist and producer recently signed to Stones Throw who has an EP coming out on the label this Friday.
Her influences include “Sudanese fiddlers, R&B, West African rhythms, and experimental electronic music.”
There’s not much info on her other than that but her first two songs speak for themselves.
‘Paid’ has a hypnotic tribal R&B feel while standout ‘Come Meh Way’ is illuminated by a folk violin line.
