Short and to the point is how the Dublin band Fangclub are keeping things with their debut single ‘Bullethead’.

There’s no denying the Nirvana-style credentials on the track from the North Co. Dublin band’s song which lasts just two minutes, but leaves a bludgeoning presence all the same.

Fangclub - Bullet Head

Fangclub are the punk and grunge-loving songwriter/guitarist Steven King, bassist Kevin Keane and drummer Dara Coleman. The band signed to Universal Music Ireland a while back and ‘Bullet Head’ is the first track from their debut EP which is on iTunes for pre-order and comes out May 13th.

“On the surface it’s punch your friend in the face whilst drunk fun, but underneath there are lots of layers, both lyrically and melodically,” says Coleman.

The EP was recorded with Vancouver-based Irishman Tadgh Healy.

Fangclub are playing live dates:
Apr 08 Whelan’s, Dublin (Supporting Otherkin)
Apr 22 Sals, Waterford
Apr 23 Mike The Pies, Listowel (Supporting The Mighty Stef)
Apr 28 Spirit Store Dundalk
