One of my favourite songs of last year will feature on a new EP from Fehdah (formerly Feather). Hip Drop Records will release the Like No Other EP featuring the title song and 3 others on August 11th.
Fehdah is the futuristic Afro soul music project of Sierra Leonean-born Emma Garnett and a seven-piece band.
The song has a wonderful organic feel to it cross-pollinating genres: from hushed gospel-style soul to an electronic African oriental-leaning sound that is rich throughout. It’s always worth a spin.
A launch gig happens at the Sugar Club on August 11th.
