Féile na Gréine announce full lineup for Limerick experimental festival in August

The Limerick festival of emerging and experimental music has announced its three day lineup over three days from August 23rd to 25th.

Féile na Gréine takes place across a music trail through multiple venues and spaces in Limerick city, and this year will feature Kildare alt-rock band Silverbacks, the fiddle and vocals of Ultan O’Brien and Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, The Bonk’s freeform jazz, Connemara alt-post-rock band Trá Pháidín, Kerry DJ Efa O’Neill, Belfast indie-rockers Junk Drawer, vocal folk group Landless, folk singer-songwriter Anna Mieke, Belfast rapper Emby, and Irish “supergroup” Princ€ss who launch the festival with a special livestreamed BYOL performance in Lumen Street Theatre’s residence at the old corn store warehouse on Roches Street.

There are 30 events over 9 venues.

Treaty City Brewery are hosting vinyl-only DJ sets from Altered Hours’ Elaine Howley, mynameisjohn (Rusangano Family), Emmy Shigeta, and more.

STARLING, an emerging DIY artist space, will host a performance programme at the project space, 31 Nicholas Street, featuring performances by four artists whose work spans the fields of visual art, experimental sound, music, writing and movement.

Many of the events are free with some small amount of shows ticketed this year.
