First names revealed for the festival’s 25th anniversary return to St Columb’s Hall, running Friday September 25th and Saturday September 26th.
Other Voices has announced its first names for its return to Derry this September, running Friday September 25th and Saturday September 26th. St Columb’s Hall hosts a weekend of intimate filmed performances, presented by MayKay and streamed live worldwide via the Other Voices YouTube channel.
The first wave brings Kate Nash making her long-awaited Other Voices debut (which she announced yesterday alongside an Irish tour), Dublin four-piece Bleech 9:3, already championed by The Guardian, NME and BBC Radio 1, Glastonbury Emerging Talent winners Westside Cowboy, and 19-year-old blues interpreter Muireann Bradley.
Tickets for the St Columb’s Hall performances are free thanks to PEACEPLUS Change Maker Funding, with Golden Tickets released on a first-come-first-served basis via Other Voices’ social channels in the coming weeks.

Beyond St Columb’s Hall, the Music Trail takes over venues across Derry for the weekend. Bleech 9:3, Westside Cowboy and Kate Nash all play separate Music Trail shows alongside their filmed St Columb’s Hall performances, joined by Falkirk five-piece Brògeal.

Soundings
New for this year, Soundings is a discussion strand bringing together artists, writers, makers, thinkers and community leaders for conversations on art, culture and society. The inaugural lineup includes RTÉ Europe Editor Tony Connelly, writer and broadcaster Séamas O’Reilly, IFTA-winning screenwriter Ailbhe Keogan, BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Myrid Carten, journalist Aoife Moore, writer Darran Anderson, music journalist Emma Warren, Celtronic founder Gareth Stewart, Oh Yeah Music Centre’s Claire Hall (DJ Venus Dupree), and Cóilí Collins, aka Shampain.

Weekend Music Trail wristbands are on sale now via Eventbrite, priced at £60 plus booking fees, giving access to every Music Trail show, Soundings, and automatic entry into the St Columb’s Hall ticket draw. The first wave sold out in under an hour, so it’s worth booking soon.
