Lissie covers Lady Gaga & plays Dublin this month
Lissie plays The Academy on the 26th April in support to Joshua Radin so consider this post your forewarning to check her out. Lissie is from Illinois and has an authentic country-folk twang to her voice that I like A LOT. Her style is a bit more mainstream than what usually gets posted here but I dig it none the less.
‘Little Lovin’ was the first track to grace my earsand it just feels like an authentic tune from the American songbook. The other songs I’ve heard from her are catchy country-rock or folk tracks but the absolute clincher was her superb cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ which you can download and watch a video of below.
In June, Lissie will release her debut album called Catching A Tiger through Fat Possum in the US (home to Band of Horses, Jay Reatard (RIP), Wavves) and Sony Music in Europe.
