Rigsy is a Northern Irish radio institution who was the man at the main mic of Across The Line, the BBC Radio Ulster show for nearly 19 years until last night when he broadcast his final show.
In an emotionally-charged two hours, Rigsy focused on playing his favourite tracks of the last 19 years and sharing memories of that time.
You can hear the show in full here with songs from Jealous of the Birds, Ash, New Pagans, Villagers, La Faro, ASIWYFA, Two Door Cinema Club and many more.
Big respect to Rigsy, ever the enthusiastic champion of music across from both sides of the border (I’m an occasional on-air contributor). He’s not leaving BBC Ulster though as he’ll still be working for the station. Gemma Bradley will take over as the next presenter of Across The Line starting next week.
