Introducing: ▲L▲ST D∆YS OF 1984▲▲

▲L▲ST D∆YS OF 1984▲▲ is the new project from Darren Moloney formerly of Betamax Format. ‘River’s Edge’ is the first tune, it reminds me of Beat Connection’s ‘In The Water’ spliced with vocals from Animal Collective. Moloney has himself rather fittingly described it as “beach house”. A 7″ is forthcoming along with some gigs perhaps this month. Artwork will be provided by Artur Arbit, a Brooklyn fashion designer and artist who did the painting above.

  1. So the song is not bad, but what a ridiculous name – can these bands not see that this shit will look seriously dated in around six months. In fact, it sort of is already. (cf the great triangle cover artwork rush of early 2011). Or is longevity not the idea? Or am I missing every single point here?
