Mitski for Dublin 2022 show; hear new song ‘Working For The Knife’
Mitksi has announced an extensive North American and European tour including a Foggy Notions presented show at Vicar Street on Monday 25 April 2022.
Tickets for that show are on sale Friday 9am from Ticketmaster.ie, and a Foggy Notions pre-sale is listed from tomorrow.
The show and the tour comes with a new video ‘Working for the Knife’, a synth number that is “about going from being a kid with a dream, to a grown up with a job, and feeling that somewhere along the way you got left behind. It’s being confronted with a world that doesn’t seem to recognize your humanity, and seeing no way out of it”.
The video was directed by Zia Anger with Ashley Connor directing photography with Mitski leaning into the performative aspects of her live show. The video “represents a performer returning to the same cruel world that gave birth to her.”
‘Working For The Knife’ is Mitski’s first material since 2018’s Be The Cowboy.
