Friday is album release day and here’s a rundown of what’s been released on DSPs and physical releases in record shops.
Kanye – Donda
Haha maybe. Maybe not. The third listening show happened in Chicago last night and included a fake wedding with Kim, Marilyn Manson and DaBaby. The album won’t come out but Ye appears to be doing his edgelord thing again.
CHVRCHES – Screen Violence

Men I Trust – Untourable Album
Montreal band release what they’ve been working on through the pandemic.
Turnstile – Glow On
Baltimore hardcore are one of the most exciting bands in the US at the moment.
Big Red Machine – How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last?
Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon’s second album as Bg Red Machine has brought the likes of Taylor Swift, Lisa Hannigan, Anaïs Mitchell, Ben Howard, Robin Pecknold, Sharon Van Etten and many more.
Floor Staff – Attention
The debut album from Irish artist Anthony Donnelly’s alt-pop music project after four years away.
The Bronx – Bronx VI
LA punk band continue to do their rock thing very well.
The Bug – Fire
First album from The Bug in 7 years on Ninja Tune features MCs Moor Mother, Flowdan, Daddy Freddy, Irah, Roger Robison, Nazamba, FFSYTHO, Manga and Logan.
Nite Jewel – No Sun
Not the typical synth-pop sound, more a ruminating avant-pop release for the fourth album from Ramona Gonzalez.
Laura Cannell and Kate Ellis – August Sounds
The latest in a series of folk and classical string improvisations looks east for influence. Features Stewart Lee on track four ‘Spend the Day with Me’.
