Oh No – Ethiopium
Oh No (that’s Madlib’s brother) follows up 2007’s brilliant instrumental album Dr. No’s Oxperiment with an album of all Ethiopian samples. With the hip-hop album of the year Mos Def’s The Ecstatic littered with Eastern samples, is 2009 the year of the East for hip-hop?
The album is out this month through Stones Throw.com. Here’s a snippets mix from Oh No himself of the release.
