Bell X1 founding member and multi-instrumentist Dave Geraghty is back with his solo project, Join Me In The Pines, for the first single off his upcoming second album Monomania, due for release on August 30.
Today we’re premiering the video for ‘She Steps Into The Light’, Join Me In The Pine’s first release since 2018’s ‘Bad Blood‘.
‘She Steps Into The Light’ marks a continuation of changing direction for the Dublin artist. Where his last album Inherit predominantly offered up delicate folk ambling, ‘She Steps Into The Light’ is a fun slab of smooth 80s influenced pop. Propelled by a grooving bassline and reverb-drenched synth flicks, it’s a catchy, polished affair that embraces all things sleek and danceable. The video captures this aesthetic with a glamorous performance in a sleazy small-town bar.
