In the music promotion game, you’re never far away from the drug of nostalgia, but there appears to be a particular strain of it for late 90s/2000s girl and boy bands in the air at the moment.
Last week, 5ive performed their 1999 hit ‘Keep On Moving’ on the Late Late last week, and this week, it has been announced that S Club 7 are coming to do a reunion gig at the 3Arena on October 16th later this year “in celebration of their 25-year legacy.”
All seven members – Bradley, Hannah, Jo, Jon, Paul, Rachel, and Tina have an 11–date tour of the UK and Ireland lined up. S Club had four UK number one singles with ‘Bring It All Back’, ‘Never Had a Dream Come True’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’, and ‘Have You Ever’, and released 4 studio albums, and sold 10 million records.
The band augmented their pop careers with CBBC children’s TV programmes Miami 7 and L.A. 7.
Tickets are on sale Friday February 17th at 10am from Ticketmaster.
