We spotlighted recently, the slowcore music of Northern Irish young man Liam McCay who has various projects on the go.
Sign Crushes Motorist is his main band with over 1.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, but he has released music under the name Take Care, Birth Day, Make His Ribs Show, Manta, Hold, Miserable Teens Club, Roaming, busty latinas, Death Trap, Moon Water to name some.
Dead Calm is the artist’s latest pseudonym, which has released an album entitled Accept, a more acoustic folkier, brighter record than his slowcore stuff.
“This is my personal favourite album I’ve ever made, beating out boyhood in my opinion,” said McCay.

Sign Crushes Motorist supported Horse Jumper Of Love in Dublin last week, and played a gig in Sandino’s in Derry too.
SCM will support Cry Wank in Dublin and Belfast on November 23rd and November and before that on November 5th supporting Panchiko.
