Sounds from a Safe Harbour (SFSH) presents SIRENS, a live music experience hosted by Lisa Hannigan, bringing together an evolving ensemble of extraordinary female voices from Ireland and around the world.
Developed during the residency at SFSH25, the project draws inspiration from mythology, harmony, collective singing and the transformative power of the voice as a shared human experience. Following its acclaimed debut at St. Anne’s Church, SIRENS will tour in autumn 2026, with performances in Inis Oírr, Dublin, Cork and London, and additional UK and EU dates to be announced.

With musical direction and original arrangements by Theodora Byrne, and performed with her Trio, the evening moves fluidly between intimate acoustic moments, layered vocal experimentation, reimagined songs and deeply collaborative interpretation.

About Sounds from a Safe Harbour
Sounds from a Safe Harbour (SFSH) is a multidisciplinary biennial arts festival based in Cork, Ireland, renowned for its bold and collaborative programming across music, language, art and ritual.
In September 2025, the festival celebrated its landmark 10th anniversary edition, taking place across venues throughout Cork City. The programme was curated by Festival Director Mary Hickson, alongside actor Cillian Murphy, composer Bryce Dessner (The National), author Max Porter and folklorist Billy MagFhloinn, bringing together leading Irish and international artists for a series of immersive, one-off performances and creative encounters.
The next edition of Sounds from a Safe Harbour will take place September 30th to October 3rd 2027.
