The new album from Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, We The Common is streaming at NPR and is the San Francisco-based band’s fourth and best album, a vibrant collection of indie-folk-pop songs, along the lines of one-time collaborator Tune-Yards.
As well as being a Joanna Newsom collaboration, ‘Kindness Be Conceived’ stuck out straight away as a quirky bluegrass-tinged duet. We The Common is out next week.
