Torcán @ St. Peter’s (7pm, free)
Trad nua from Cork-based outfit Torcán, performing at the former Vision Centre to support the video for new single ‘The Singing Stream’.

Mitski @ Cyprus Avenue (9pm, €16)
Cork appearance from New York-based outsider indie proponent, in support of sophomore album ‘Puberty 2’.

 

THURSDAY JUNE 8TH:

Live 8th @ Cyprus Avenue (8.30pm, €10)
An important show to say the least: a fundraiser for local campaign Rebels for Repeal with a whopper local line-up: Spekulativ Fiktion, Lowli, Gadget and the Cloud, The Sunshine Factory, Tiz McNamara and Quangodelic line out for the cause.

Inni-K & Stephen James Smith @ Gulpd Cafe (8pm, €10)
Folk singer-songwriter resumes collaboration with world-travelled poet in the last of a series of Cork county dates. Support from Brian MacGloinn (Ye Vagabonds). More of the remaining dates throughout the week at the link.

Pierce Turner @ Coughlan’s Live (8pm, €20)
Critically acclaimed performer, songwriter and composer takes on an intimate audience at the Douglas Street venue.

 

FRIDAY JUNE 9TH:

Hypnotic Brass Ensemble @ Crane Lane Theatre (9pm, €16)

More grooves from the Cohran family band, seven brothers taking to stage with a lifetime of gigging and travelling behind their music.

If it’s hip-hop you’re after and this line-up doesn’t get your blood racing, check your pulse. The don of Irish beats and noises brings Ireland’s most prodigious young rapper for a collab. Clonakilty date at DeBarra’s the night before, €10 in.

Catastrophe & Disconnect @ Fred Zeppelin’s (9pm, €5)
Double line-up of metal from Dublin thrashers Catastrophe and Belfast industrialists Disconnect. Support from local tech-death lads Pethrophia.

 

SUNDAY JUNE 11TH:

Disco Brunch III @ Sober Lane (11am, free)
Another twelve-hour danceathon from the people behind Electric Picnic’s After Dark in the Hazel Wood. No requests, go dance, food served fresh at the bar.

Eddie Vedder @ The Marquee (6.30pm, SOLD OUT)
Pearl Jam frontman takes to the big tent out by the docks for the Cork stop in a European acoustic tour. Support from Glen Hansard.
