1.

Auntie Flo

Mycelia

Strains of Beverly Glenn Copeland, Tangerine Dream and Japanese ambient music washes all over the latest track from Brian d’Souza aka London-based Auntie Flo.

‘Mycelia’ is taken from Still Motion, an ambient collection of music from the Permanent Vacation label with nine new tracks and nine older ones from the label’s previous releases.

Lord Of the Isles, New Jackson, Benjamin Fröhlich and Massimiliano Pagliara are among the contributors.

2.

Modern Woman

Dashboard Mary

Modern Woman - Dashboard Mary (Official Video)

‘Dashboard Mary’ is the first single from the London art-rock band Modern Woman lead by the songwriting of Sophie Harris, whose timbre is reminiscent of Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten.

A debut album Johnny’s Dreamworld is out on One Little Independent Records. on May 1st 2026.

“This is a song that I wanted to write like a film. I wanted to confront the feeling of the ‘morning after’ and the decisions made during that time of exhilaration the night before,” says Harris of the lead single.

3.

Madra Salach

The Man Who Seeks Pleasure

The Man Who Seeks Pleasure

A towering song from the Irish alternative-folk six-piece Madra Salach as featured on their debut 12″ EP record It’s A Hell Of An Age.

This song, performed live, convinced me that I was looking at the next great Irish band.

4.

BXKS

Zagga Dat

BXKS - Zagga Dat

From Fear Of Eclipse, the debut mixtape from the Luton MC whose alternative grime-flecked rap delivery is in the slipstream of Lil Simz.

‘Zagga Dat’ is a two-minute UK underground rap cut with low-end sinogrime tendencies.

BXKS recently collaborated with Gliders MC Travy on ‘Guestlist’.

Peter Gabriel’s gig in Dublin in 2023 was top tier.

5.

Courtesy, Erika De Casier

You’re Not Alone (Dance Review)

A faithful and fun cover of the ’90s trancey pop classic from Olive by Berlin-based Danish artist Courtesy with additional vocals from her countrywoman Erika De Casier.

The first Courtesy ambient version of the tune was released in 2023, and this version amps up the trancey euphoria DNA of the original, co-produced by rush2theUnknown.

Dance Review Vol 1 is the inaugural release of a series of dance revisions of Courtesy’s experimental and ambient works.
