5. Gaze Is Ghost – ‘Revolvere’

I’d been patiently awaiting new material from Derry musician Laura McGarrigle ever since hearing her a year or so ago. ‘Revolvere’, one of two new songs, is worth the wait. It’s a song that uses orchestral knowledge and piano-based songcraft to create an expansive soundscape around a decent tune with McGarrigle’s voice touching on the likes of Laura Marling.
