With summer festival season nearly over, the Dundalk trad folk pintmen have announced seven new shows this December.
Presumably, there won’t be any extra dates added or the title of 7 Drunken Nights Irish tour title isn’t going to work.
7 Drunken Nights is both an instruction and a nod to the traditional song of the same name which was made famous by The Dubliners in 1967. The single was banned in Ireland before reaching No 1.
They include four nights in Vicar Street, one in Belfast’s SSE Arena, one in Cork City Hall and INEC in Killarney.
The Wallopers new dates are:
Sat 14th Dec Dublin Vicar Street
Sun 15th Dec Dublin Vicar Street
Sat 21st Dec Killarney Gleneagle INEC Arena
Mon 23rd Dec Cork City Hall
Fri 27th Dec Dublin Vicar Street
Sat 28th Dec Dublin Vicar Street
Sun 29th Dec Belfast The SSE Arena
Tickets are on sale this Friday (23rd August) at 9:30am from Ticketmaster.ie and Cork is on Eventbrite. Presale Links here.

The Mary Wallopers are already working on a follow up to their second album Irish Rock’n’Roll which was released last October.
