The Irish trad-folk rock band trade in metal power chords, percussion release Pull Like A Dog on March 13th.
We’ve previously heard ‘Pull Like A Dog’ from the record due on Sony Music Ireland / Music For Nations and here’s another thrusting motion in song with ‘‘Pullin’ Teeth’ featuring Kevin Rheault of the Dropkick Murphys.
The song was written on tour while supporting the American Celtic punk band.
The video for the both rowdy and celestial-sounding ‘Pullin’ Teeth’ was captured in Iceland during Iceland Airwaves in November, and directed by Conor Beegan & The Scratch. The song ends in moshpit of a metallic riff.
“To be able to write a song that quickly and for it to feel that good kickstarted everything. We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel on this album—it’s about taking the pressure off, reinterpreting ideas, and not overthinking things. It was very freeing for us.”
Conor (guitar, backing vocals).
Pull Like A Dog was written at Hellfire Studio in Dublin with engineer Thomas Donoghue and producer John ‘Spud’ Murphy.
The Scratch play Iveagh Gardens on July 4th.
Before that they are on an extensive Australian, UK and North American tour.
