Tieranniesaur – ‘Candy’
Following the success of Popical Island #2 (listen and buy), the next release out of the label’s stable is Tieranniesaur’s self-titled debut album on July 29th.
The album which features some funk, disco and indie influences comes across like an Irish version of ESG and Tom Tom Club. Tieranniesaur meanwhile has expanded far beyond Annie Tierney (ex-Chicks) solo project and the band now counts Annie’s husband and fellow Yeh Deadlies member Padraig O’Reilly, Ian McFarlane and Ruan Van Vliet of Squarehead, Saileóg O’Halloran formerly of Feed The Bears and Sara Golding.
‘Candy’ is your third taster from the record and adds another tropical-pop bow to the Tieranniesaur sound:
Candy by tieranniesaur
The album will be launched on July 28th at Future Bright in Crawdaddy with Tieranniesaur, No Monster Club (Bobby Aherne raps, yes RAPS on album track ‘Azure Island’) and Patrick Kelleher. It’ll be released digitally, through Bandcamp and iTunes and if you want a physical copy, there will be cassette tapes and PlayButtons available ( Playbuttons are custom pin badges with an Mp3 player embedded which will play the Tieranniesaur album.)
