Video: Fight Like Apes – Do You Karate?
You couldn’t get a better match for the Apes‘ brawny brand of loudmouth music than a in-the-ring spar with some professional wrestlers could you? (“That’s not real wrastling!“). It also serves as a pretty effective promo for their upcoming “in the ring” Christmas gigs in The Academy on the 18th and 19th.
This was directed yet again by Eoghan Kidney, who not content with winning awards left, right, and centre, making a video for Underworld and all the others he made this year, has just been accepted into the Werner Herzog rogue film school a place “not for the faint-hearted; it is for those who have travelled on foot, who have worked as bouncers in sex clubs and wardens in a lunatic asylum”. Good luck with that one dude. Hope it’s fruitful.
Roll call please for Scottie 2 Hottie, Kid Kash, Pockets, MayKay, Joe E Legend, M-Dogg20, Rachelle St Claire and The Ogre. Illustrations in this video are by BrenB who is responsible for the Nialler9 logo amonst many other great things.
