808s and Heartbreaks rocks. No debate. Here Kanye drops the video for the track prematurely thanks to Chairlift pwning him by using the same pixel-morphing technique before he did. This is the most perfect made-for-internet video skullfuckery technique around.

Speakin a’which, here’s that Chairlift vid…

FYI Chairlift’s crew came up with the glitch technique last summer when workin on MGMT’s Electric Feel, which by rather huge coincidence had the same special fx crew that later made this jam for Kanye…
Lyrics to that song drive me up the fucking wall. Quality video though.
The Chairlift video looks better, it kind of feels like standing “Beyond the Horizoooooone” ya know. And I predict the chairlift singer to be on Kanye’s next opus.
Despite them being ‘nicked’ or whetever, the visuals complement the Auto-Tune vocal effects.
Thanks for the vid.
really nice vid mate, cheers for the post
Agree with Tasseltine — I mean “where did it all go wrong?” gimme a break Kanye!!! How much sympathy can you have for an artist who hitherto has been a highly successful narcissistic ego-maniac anyway!?!
I still like a lot of things about 808s + Heartbreak but almost entirely in a musical sense and it seems his change of tune has wrong-footed a lot of people — he’s really lucky that not one single critic I have read has paid much attention to the lyrics, some of which would really not sound out of place on a BackStreet Boys song.
