Whitney and Waxahatchee team up to take on John Denver classic ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’

Luke Sharkey

John Denver is one of the most influential country artists of all time.

Among his fairly extensive repertoire is ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’, an anthem you’ve probably sung along to many times throughout your life.

All the more reason for Whitney and Waxahatchee, two artists obviously influenced by the genre, to pay homage to one of its finest artists.

I mean, Waxahatchee certainly can sing fantastically and she does on her verse, but the vocals in the final chorus from Whitney’s Julien Ehrlich are astoundingly powerful.
