Resonant Irish folk brothers Ye Vagabonds impress with ‘Song Long Forgotten’

Avatar

Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn aka Ye Vagabonds are Carlow brothers who have found a place for themselves in the music scene in Ireland through the help of more-established musicians like Glen Hansard, Villagers, Roy Harper, Lisa Hannigan and videographer Myles O’Reilly.

Their resonant folk style has been picking up fans ever since 2014 and has been picking up of late.

With their debut album on the way on October 13th, the brothers have released a preview track in ‘Song Long Forgotten’. Regular champion Myles O’Reilly provides the visual for the song along with artist Conor Campbell. The song is built with droning harmonium, strings and the brothers’ elegant harmonies.
